American Constructors Achieves Two National Construction Awards

April 05, 2019

American Constructors is proud to announce that two of our recent projects are the recipients of National Excellence in Construction® awards from Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. (ABC). The Austin Community College (ACC) San Gabriel Campus earned an Eagle Award, the highest honor, and Del Valle ISD Athletics Facility received a Pyramid Award.

The 29th Annual National Excellence in Construction awards ceremony celebrated the year’s most outstanding construction projects and contractors for their achievements in leadership, safety, innovation, and diversity. The awards were presented on March 27 at the annual ABC gala in Long Beach, California.

“Our team is incredibly proud of our work for Austin Community College and Del Valle ISD,” said American Constructors CEO Marty Burger. “Each year the ABC awards showcase some of the best in construction innovation, and we are honored to be recognized at the national level.”

American Constructors led 11 projects for the district’s 2015 Bond Program, including a state-of-the-art athletics facility, the new career and technical education innovation space, and a fine arts addition for Del Valle High School.

The ACC San Gabriel Campus marked the first major project in the City of Leander’s Transit-Oriented Development, which aims to create walkable communities close to retail, parks, schools, and employment.

Thank you to ABC for recognizing American Constructors with these awards, and congratulations to our fellow award winners!
